Here’s How it Works

You may have already seen this video.

Dear Tubby,

On 20th March 2008 I signed The Slim Pledge.

At that time I weighed 191 pounds and my Body Mass Index was 26.1 (not healthy).

Today I weight 174 pounds. Seventeen pounds have melted away in just under 12 weeks.

That’s an average of nearly one and a half pounds a week – without dieting.

A healthy rate of weight loss I think you’ll agree.

So Easy I Thought The Scales Must Be Wrong

I use a combination of slimming techniques specially designed to fit in with my everyday life. The key to the process is Positive Autosuggestion.

What you do is program your subconscious mind to think yourself slim.

By focussing your attention on what you want you magnetise your mind. This starts your brain telling your body what you need to do to be slim.

It all started when I asked myself:

How Much Do You Love Your Body?”

You should try this yourself – take your clothes off and stand in front of a full-length mirror. Run your eyes over your body – critically.

“Does it hurt you to look at your body?”

It did me.

“What must other people think when they look at you?” I wondered.

(Try the same question on yourself).

But that wasn’t the worst of it. The realisation that this was the body I had to live with for the rest of my life, shook me.

Here’s What Happened

As you know I’m a pretty successful Personal Development Coach; so the first step had to be to set a Target. It had to be realistic and attainable. But, most important of all, I would have to be proud of my body when I achieved my goal. You have to be able to…

love the body you see in the mirror.

Setting the Target was the easiest part. I then translated the vision of the body I wanted into a Target Weight. This was just a little above “my best fighting weight” – what I’d weighed as a very fit twenty year old.

Then came the really hard question…

“You know you’re going to be tempted more times than a kid in a toy shop; you know you’ve been weak-willed before; you know your friends will try to twist your arm to join them in weight-gaining meals and drinks – so…

how will you motivate yourself to stick at it?”

Just then I had an inspired idea!

I made up my mind that all this effort wouldn’t be just for me, someone else would benefit as well; someone with a real need, a need far greater than mine. This is what makes you stick to your Slim Pledge through thick and thin (sorry).

When you stop thinking me, me, me and start to help others as well as yourself, you start to feel really good about yourself.

It was amazing how much more determined I suddenly became. There was a real sense of purpose that had never been there in previous, failed, attempts to lose weight.

The feel-good factor was immense!

But there was also a very real fear that if I failed someone else, a really needy person, was going to suffer because of my weakness. That makes you really think about your commitment before you sign The Slim Pledge.

And, while I was thinking, “am I really up for this?” my mind turned to the question of …

"How Are You Going to Make This Permanent?”

There’s just no point in going to all the effort of slimming down if you’re only going to put it all back on again.

That would be a complete waste of time, and anyway, it’s not the point…

What you want is a body you can be proud of – FOREVER - a body that will last you a long time.

When you think about this you’ll realise that whatever you do to lose weight has to be something you can happily go on doing for the rest of your life.

Being slim has to become your way of life.

Whatever you do has to fit in comfortably with your work, your family, your social life and all your other activities.

You have to be able to do SLIM comfortably at family meal times, when you’re out celebrating, in the pub, at business lunches, at parties…

That’s what led me to invent…

The Zero Cost Portable Slim Gym

You know that exercise is essential if you want to look good, BUT…

“How can you exercise regularly, focus on the fat cells in particular parts of your body AND do it any time of the day or night, without interrupting your other activities?”

From day one I used Isometric Exercises. You make your muscles work against each other.

The best way to explain it is for you to actually do this as you’re reading…

Sit upright in your chair, both feet flat on the floor. Now, squeeze your knees together as hard as you can. Do this for a slow count of twenty.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve (slow down) thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty.

“Can you feel your inner thigh muscles burning?”

“Did your buttock muscles tighten up?”

That’s just one of more than twenty Isometric Exercises that you can use to tone your muscles in those areas of your body where you need to burn the flab and build firm muscle.

You can do this exercise sitting at your desk, watching TV or on a train or bus. No-one else will know you’re toning your body. But you will be making good use of your time.

I even do two Isometric Exercises in bed every morning to pump me up before I leap out of bed to greet the day.

As soon as you’ve signed The Pledge you’ll be able to watch short videos that show you more than 20 other exercises that will tone up specific areas of your body where you might be a bit flabby right now.

O.K. so that takes care of how you’re going to burn off some of the excess calories, but, “how do you put fewer calories into your body?”

Fat People Die Young

I don’t know about you but I want to live for as long as I can - life is fun, let’s enjoy it.

A shocking survey of overweight people conducted by the US Public Libraries Department shows that there’s a 20% - 40% increased risk of premature death if you’re overweight (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16926275)

That’s a risk that’s just not worth taking.

“Would you back a racehorse that had a 40% chance of dying before the end of the race?”

Personally I find counting calories very boring. But I have managed to make myself “calorie aware”. That means I have a rough idea of which foods will stack the calories on and what I can eat without damaging my body.

So, before I put any food onto my plate I visualize it on my waist. That makes it easy to walk past fast food joints, even when I feel hungry.

It’s a matter of learning how to…

Program Your Slim Auto-pilot

Anyone can program their mind to “Think Slim”.

You have already programmed your mind to get you up in the morning, get you to work, tell you when it’s lunch time, get you home, drive a car, work a computer, read, write and do a thousand other tasks.

You do many of these tasks on auto-pilot, without thinking. But, “how did you programme yourself to easily ride a bike, or stand up or sit down?”

You simply repeated the action hundreds of times until you just do it automatically the moment your brain issues an instruction like “stand up” or “walk” or “run”.

You can get into that same auto-pilot state about eating.

It’s simple, anything you do repeatedly becomes a habit.

Eating Yourself Slim Can Become a Habit

Once you sign The Slim Pledge I will open up a whole raft of short videos and online TV shows that demonstrate, How to Think Yourself Slim, Eat Yourself Slim, Evade Temptation and Exercise Yourself Slim, without going to a gym.

Don’t panic – they’re all FREE.

I’m not going to tell you what’s in them because that would take too long. Also, until you are really committed to creating your ideal body anything you do will be a waste of time.

“Do you know that 95% of people who diet to lose weight put it all back on again within 2 years?”

I am the living proof… on January 1st, 2007 I weighted 197 pounds. By giving up booze, bread, butter and a whole lot more favourite foods I got down to 176 pounds by June. But, by Jan 2008 I was back up again to 191 pounds.

And that made me think… “there has to be a better way.”

After 3 months of research I worked out this simple 5-Step Formula for Permanent Weight Loss:

  1. Set your Target Weight, visualize how you’ll look naked and enjoy the feeling.

  2. Motivate yourself so powerfully that you can’t possibly fail – The Slim Pledge.

  3. Eat slightly smaller quantities of mainly fresh foods: particularly fruit, vegetables, fish and lean meat. Avoid fast food, processed foods and sugary drinks.

  4. Think Slim before every mouthful.

  5. Use The Portable Slim Gym to tone your body, target specific flabby areas and make you look loveable.

I think you’ll agree the 5-Step Formula is not very complicated or difficult to do.

The Real Kicker That Makes This Work

I have already lost 17 pounds – only 9 more to reach my target weight, so I know this works.

“How can I be so certain that I will lose the next 9 pounds and keep all the weight off FOREVER?”

Because…

If I don’t I will be denying a hungry child of food they badly need. For them my donations are literally a matter of life or death.

The Slim Pledge is not simply a matter of agreeing to give a bit to the charity of your choice. It is much more subtle than that. It works deep down in your mental/emotional make-up. Signing The Slim Pledge makes you feel good – failure is unbearable.

Just complete the form below and you can see just how powerfully this will motivate you to trim off, and keep off, the pounds you want to lose.

What you are about to do will make you feel noble. It will strongly commit you to be forever slim.

When I signed The Slim Pledge my whole attitude to my body changed. I suddenly took more pride in my appearance. I felt an instant surge of self-confidence which has grown steadily with every pound lost.

Now you will have the perfect response to “friends” who try to persuade you to weaken in your good intentions.

Wear your “I Can” badge with pride to reinforce your determination and to tell everyone: “I have signed The Slim Pledge.”

Help everyone you see wearing the Slim Pledge badge.
